Knit Shepherd | Taranaki Neckerchief | Merino
This 100% Merino wool neckerchief is the ideal small scarf for colder days inside and out, and easily tucked into a bag to pull out when needed.
This knit stitch pattern is inspired by the conical form of the majestic Taranaki Maunga (Mt Taranaki). Starting as a hand-knit slip stitch sample it is translated into a digitally knit textile.
Knit Shepherd's designs take inspiration from the natural world of Aotearoa, New Zealand. The patterns are inspired by locations throughout the country, and the colours names reference our native fauna. Available in 3 colours: Pōhutukawa (deep red), Ponga (soft black), and Pikopiko (fern green).
Knit Shepherd is a textile design studio based in Tāmaki Makaurau (Auckland), where traditional craft meets modern technology to tell the stories of Aotearoa through sustainable, low-waste knitted textiles. Using yarn spun by Woolyarns in Wellington, all products are digitally knitted in South Auckland. From scarves to wrist warmers, each piece is thoughtfully designed and carefully crafted with a focus on sustainability and detail.
