Kā Pākihi Whakatekateka o Waitaha (Canterbury Plains) are well known for their productive land. The chequered pattern the many paddocks make when viewed from the sky inspired this slip-stitch pattern.
Knit Shepherd's designs take inspiration from the natural world of Aotearoa, New Zealand. The patterns are inspired by locations throughout the country, and the colours names reference our native fauna. Available in 5 colourways Pōhutukawa (deep red), Ponga (soft black), and Pikopiko (fern green), Spring Pōhutukawa (deep red with pink contrast), Spring Pikopiko (fern green with pale blue contrast).

Using yarn spun by Woolyarns in Wellington, all products are digitally knitted in South Auckland.
